THE HOLY SPIRIT, Your Comforter

What is a comforter to you? You find yourself in a difficult situation, you feel helpless, disconsolate, then you find someone who comes close to you and reaches your heart with comforting words that tell you everything that no one has ever said. You leave that meeting whether in a doctor's office, in a church no matter where you managed to calm your spirit that was agitated. Forever you will surely be grateful, grateful to that person isn't it? But will that person be able to be by your side all the time you need? She will be with you in the early hours that you may have a relapse your spirits are being bombarded again the turmoil of life afflicts you again and now? But there is a True Friend who used that person to help you at that moment when you have nothing else to do but exercise His ministry in your life. And who is this person? And what is your ministry? He is the Person of the HOLY SPIRIT and His ministry is to console, to comfort his downcast soul, his suffering life. When you think you have no one else who can truly be with you at any time, HE says I am here. It doesn't matter the moment, or the place, occasion or situation. Do you know who sent Him to be Someone who will stay close to you forever? In John 16:7 the Word, the Bible says this: JESUS speaking to His disciples says: “Nevertheless I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.” JESUS after the resurrection still remained on earth for forty days. But it was necessary for Him to return where He came from and thus the FATHER's promise would be fulfilled in our lives about the coming of this Comforter. On the day of Pentecost this happened. On another occasion we will talk more deeply about the meaning of Pentecost, but what I want to make you understand is that This Comforter was sent to help you be stronger. Look, HE also has the task of: Convicting the world of sin, justice and judgment. The world thinks it's good and believes it doesn't need forgiveness, it thinks it doesn't do anything too much, but the HOLY SPIRIT came to show that there is only one good that is GOD and man, through the HOLY SPIRIT, understands that he is a sinner. Of justice because man executing his own justice practices injustice. JESUS was a victim of human injustice in His judgment, so were the apostles and so were believers throughout the world. But the HOLY SPIRIT convinces man that his righteousness is but filthy rags. In the Bible these rags were old rags used to clean lepers, also used by women during their menstrual period and cleaning after defecation. You've already understood a little of what our justice means, haven't you? But the HOLY SPIRIT convinces man that he has no act of justice if he is far from God. And also the HOLY SPIRIT will convince the world of judgment. Man with God receives from the Holy Spirit the conviction that there is a judgment that will come on all who do not receive Jesus and the sacrifice for us and that Satan and his kingdom, his agents have already been judged. In John 14:26 “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. 2 Corinthians: 3,4 3 Blessed be the GOD and FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, the FATHER of mercies and the GOD of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may also be able to comfort those who are in any tribulation, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. There is also a lesson for us as the quoted text tells us. You can also learn to comfort those like you who have been or are afflicted. John 14:16 “And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that he may abide with you forever. THE HOLY SPIRIT is the other Comforter, hallelujah!
