A man named Jabez My YouTube channel
Are you experiencing struggles, difficulties? Glorify GOD anyway. Is everything going wrong? Continue glorifying the Living GOD. You know that in more or less days it will arrive. Who or what will arrive as a missionary? Your victory!
I want to talk today about a man named Jabêz — Jabés — Jabes. This man was someone very important, very respected in his family. His mother gave him this name due to all the suffering she had during childbirth, his birth. Names at that time, especially in Israel, were given due to a circumstance of birth. Isaac, laugh. Jabes is someone who caused unbearable pain, unspeakable suffering for his mother.
Text: 1 Chronicles 4:9-10 says:
9 Jabez was more illustrious than his brothers (his mother had named him Jabez, saying: because I gave birth to him in pain).
10 Jabes called on the GOD of Israel, saying: May you bless me, and extend my borders; May your hand be with me and make sure that I am not afflicted with evil! And GOD granted him what he asked.
Introduction:
Years ago, a book was released that addressed this topic, this biblical passage. This booklet became very well known. We know so little about him. Still, we can discover great truths in the two verses mentioned above. Right away, lol, we can see that GOD does hear prayers and how HE likes to bless us, give us gifts. Jabes, I will prefer to call him that; He was a descendant of Judah (son of Israel), a very important tribe. Despite the name he received, he was someone illustrious, more illustrious than all his brothers.
What is a prayer? A way to communicate with GOD. Do not be afraid, do not hesitate to ask this Wonderful FATHER for advice.
Communicate with HIM always. In your afflictions, never forget to be grateful for the blessings you always receive. Ask GOD for direction for everything in your life. Don't forget to ask for forgiveness for the sins you've committed. Clean yourself every day.
What is the meaning of Jabesh's prayers? He asked for GOD's blessing. So he said: May the LORD bless me. He recognized that in the POWERFUL HAD he was at the Fountain of all blessings. IN HIM was the Source of the blessings he needed so much. True and permanent blessings. Do you believe this? Proverbs 10:22 says:
The blessing of the LORD is that it enriches and does not bring with it pain. Jabes asked GOD to expand his borders. Enlarge my territory LORD. He understood that only in GOD would he have his provision, prosperity and growth. Everything belongs to GOD, all things in heaven and on earth. Jabes asked for breadth in all his endeavors and to always be helped by HIM. Oh! He also wished for the wonderful presence of GOD he said: be Your good hand with me. What is this if not wanting to actively see the FATHER's hand over your life? Jabes knew and we must know that we can have the constant company of this GOD not only there in eternity, but we can now enjoy this presence here and now, hallelujah! He also asked GOD to deliver him from evil. He said: keep me from evil and may I be free from pain. Verse 10: Jabes called upon the GOD of Israel, saying: I would that You would bless me, and extend my borders, that Your hand would be with me and that You would make it so that I would not be afflicted with evil! And GOD granted him what he asked. Even though his name always reminded him of the word pain, he knew that in moments of suffering, sadness, ordeal he could always count on the help of the LORD who would free him from evil. And do you believe this? How in the lives of this and so many men of GOD we can see the beauty of the generosity of the GOD we serve. HE answers prayers.
Matthew 7:11 says: if you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him?
Let us always be thankful for His kindness. Let's reflect this love by blessing lives, with our prayers? At the end of this reading, seeing how good GOD is and how he answers your prayers, be grateful for being able to talk to HIM, for HE listens to you and receives answers.
1 John 5:14 says: And this is the confidence we have in HIM, that if we ask anything according to His will, HE hears us.
Pray more, 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says: pray without ceasing.
Recognize like Jabes that only our GOD can give us the blessings we need. Just decide to walk with GOD every day in His presence and always have that presence, don't walk alone anymore. Always ask HIM to free you from evil.
