Certainly in the desert we encounter trials.
The desert is a place of passage. Don't stay in the desert!
The Book of Numbers tells the story of the journey of GOD's people from Mount Sinai to the land of Canaan. GOD's people would have a journey of eleven days, but this journey lasted forty years. Unfortunately among those people there was disobedience and disbelief. Through the journey reported in the Word of GOD, we can also learn lessons for our lives, from the moment we leave “Egypt” (world), until we arrive in our own, Celestial Canaan.
We will now explore how we can face the trials of the desert and emerge victorious in the midst of difficulties.
1st The desert is a place of harsh trials
Exodus 40:1-15 the people of Israel were in the desert and GOD will give instructions to Moses to build a Tabernacle. In the desert stand up like a tabernacle, have a spiritual life like never before. Be a perfect house of GOD.
The desert is an arid place, it is a challenging place. There is no comfort in the desert. On the contrary, there is a lack of water, a scarcity of food and there is no certainty about the future. What is the desert today in our lives? Moments of trial when we feel lost, discouraged and even question the presence of GOD. Let us never forget that all trials have a purpose in your life and in my life. These trials are certainly shaping us, purifying us and, through faith, bringing us closer to GOD.
2nd In the desert, there is certainly the presence of GOD
Exodus 40:16-38
In the midst of trials, the desert for those people was a place of victories and especially the manifestation of the presence of GOD, without which we will never have substantial victories. In the desert there was a cloud of glory that enveloped the entire Tabernacle as it descended upon it. This will also be the case for your life. The glory of GOD will descend upon you transforming everything. Raise your life before HIM.
3rd You are in the desert, so submit to GOD and do not think about returning to slavery in “Egypt”. Thinking about returning to Egypt, those people forgot that in Egypt they were reduced to slavery.
4th In the desert, don’t let yourself be carried away by fantasies, by illusions.
In the desert those people were tempted to worship other gods. The illusion of an immediate god because Moses had climbed the mountain and had not yet returned.
In the desert, how is your spiritual life? What idols have you placed in your life to solve problems that for you GOD is taking too long? A lawyer, a judge, a doctor, a husband, a wife, children, a neighbor, who are you putting in place to replace our GOD? Even if you say that they are not like gods in your life, your attitude of trust in them is greater than your trust in the Mighty GOD.
5º In the desert GOD is the one who sustains you
Manna, quails, water from the rock. Only HE has to give, hallelujah!
6º In the desert there is growth
Desert is a place of learning and spiritual growth. It is in the desert that GOD refines us, we mature, our faith grows. It is in the desert that we learn to depend completely on GOD.
7th It is in the desert that we obtain victories
Exodus 40:34-38
The glory of GOD descended upon the Tabernacle after it was completed. So also when we remain firm, faithful to This GOD in the midst of trials we can experience victories in the areas in which we are being tested.
Trust, everything will be fine in the name of JESUS, believe me!
