Here are some secrets. These secrets come from a person who went through great challenges and overcame them. I'm talking about young Joseph, known as Joseph of Egypt. Someone experienced in pain. Are you someone like that, experienced in pain? Or when you see someone going through great struggles, you immediately judge them saying that it is God's judgment? Forgetting that you also face struggles? There are lessons to learn from Joseph of Egypt. 1. Be calm and patient in trials in Genesis 41:51 it says: “And Joseph called his firstborn Manasseh; for he said, GOD hath made me forget all my labor, and all my father's house.” This young man went through many trials, from being sold into slavery to going to prison unjustly. Are we throwing lives into prisons through slander, or even helping by putting them in prisons because of our language? Joseph was rewarded because of his patience. Wait patiently on GOD and you will also be rewarded for your wait. One day GOD will exalt him. Joseph was exalted when he became governor of Egypt. My sister, will I also be a governor? If it is for the honor and glory of the FATHER's name, so be it. But what we are saying here is that even in the midst of struggles and adversities, you must remain trusting in GOD and His perfect timing and remain patient. 2. Face the problems: José faced several problems. That woman married to Potiphar constantly harassing him to sleep with her. This was a daily problem. He did not leave his position in that house, nor did he give in to her whims. Leave your daily problems in a compartment of your mind. Only remove them from there if you are going to face them. 3. Be skillful in dealing with temptation. Genesis 39:12 says, “Then she took him by the cloak and said to him, Lie with me! But he, leaving the cloak in her hand, fled, escaping outside.” To flee from the occasion is wisdom (see what Job 28:28 says) And he said to the man, Behold, the fear of the LORD is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding. What wisdom from that young man! How prudent! What fear of sinning against the LORD. Joseph fled the opportunity for sin. How would you react in a situation of extreme temptation? José didn’t give in, hallelujah! Joseph was rewarded with a blessed marriage. He preferred to remain faithful to his GOD. This is a challenge, we must always be vigilant and faithful to GOD. Let us make wise decisions when we are faced with temptations in our path. Not only in sexual temptation, but in all difficult situations in life that want to make us sin. 4. We must take risks José took the risks. Joseph goes to present himself before Pharaoh, Genesis 41:46 says: “Now Joseph was thirty years old when he presented himself to Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from Pharaoh and passed through all the land of Egypt.” In life, there are opportunities to grow through constant learning. José didn't always do well. He was sold by his brothers, was imprisoned, but went before the highest authority in Egypt and took over the government of the nation. Learn to take risks and always move forward with faith. 5. Take action in the face of injustice in Genesis 39:20–21: 20 Then Joseph's master took him and threw him into prison, in the place where the king's prisoners were imprisoned; and he stayed there in prison. 21 But the LORD was with Joseph, extending his kindness to him and giving him favor in the eyes of the jailer. José did not harbor hatred or resentment. Joseph served faithfully. This is the attitude of those who trust in GOD. A person who acts like this is completely certain that GOD is always in control of all things in their life, even in the face of injustice. 6. Always release forgiveness Keep it in your heart to always release forgiveness Genesis 5019: “Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid; am I in the place of GOD?” We know that those around us will at some point make mistakes, injustices, and will come into conflict at some point. But continue to trust the FATHER's control. Know, however, that you are a victor, have a different vision. Don't worry about people and their behavior. Forgive people as you also need to be forgiven. If someone did something to you, be sure it won't last forever, nothing is eternal, know that everyone deserves a second chance, including you. 7. Say no to revenge Genesis 50:21: “Now therefore do not be afraid; I will support you and your little children. So he comforted them, and spoke to their heart.” Get rid of this thought of revenge against the person who did you wrong. That caused you moral, physical, financial harm, etc. It doesn't matter what damage you suffered. See what Joseph says at the end of his life Genesis 50:24: “Then Joseph said to his brothers, I die; but GOD will certainly visit you, and will bring you up from this land to the land that he swore to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.”
