To begin a journey with GOD you must be determined to do something like a pilgrimage, without the right to give up, this must be the goal, do not give up on the journey during the journey. We can see the pilgrimage of GOD's people in the desert, heading to Canaan, that was the objective. This journey of Israel in the desert towards Canaan will also typify the journey of the Church of CHRIST on earth, towards the heavenly Canaan. 1 Peter 2:11 says, “Beloved, I urge you, as pilgrims and strangers, to abstain from the lusts of the flesh, which war against the soul.” The wandering through the desert was not simply judgment against those who murmured, those rebellious people. But it was certainly a discipline, preparing them for the promised land. It will be no different with us in the twenty-one days. This journey of fasting and prayer will serve as discipline for our entry into blessings, (our promised land). Not only in the heavenly New Canaan, but also in all our needs here on this earth, for they will be met. Isaiah 1:19 says, “If you will and listen to Me, you will eat the good things of the land.” If you will… Do you? I want! That journey would only last forty days. Some more scholars say thirty or even seven days. We can see that the rebellion really made those people not accept the result of the spies who spent forty days spying on the land of Jericho, receiving the sentence that each day, these days would be transformed into years, so forty years. On this journey of ours, GOD determines 21 days. We will not make this journey alone. HE will go with us. So what to do during these days? Sanctification is essential, not only now but always. Let's do this. For those who can, of course. In the first week of the journey, I fasted until nine in the morning. Starting at midnight. In the second week until twelve o'clock and in the third week until six o'clock. Be careful if you are taking medication and cannot go past the time, observe everything and do it within your means, but don't stop doing it, because you will see a change in your life, believe me!
