Genesis 1:27-31
27 Therefore GOD created man in his own image; in the image of GOD he created him; male and female he created them.
28 Then GOD blessed them and said to them: be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; Rule over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air and over every animal that moves on the earth.
29 And he said unto them, Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is upon the face of the whole earth, and every tree in which there is fruit yielding seed; they will be yours for food.
30 And to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to every living thing that creepeth upon the earth, I have given every green herb for food. And so it was.
31 And GOD saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And it was the evening and the morning, the sixth day.
Man and woman have been united in marriage since the beginning of creation. A man will leave his father and mother and then unite with his wife, becoming one flesh.
Only after GOD created the woman, HE said: very good!
1. Invite JESUS to be at this wedding. A man needs a woman and a woman needs a man.
What is married life? What is your concept? Marital life is the relationship between two people who come together to form a family, with the intention of living together. It is a public, continuous and lasting relationship. But has it been like this in our days?
To strengthen this connection, it is certainly necessary to invite JESUS to be present at this wedding. JESUS was invited to a wedding in Cana in Galilee, read this story in John 2:1-11.
2. GOD is an important, integral part of marriage. Your presence at a wedding is vital.
Let us now think about the husband and his wife sharing prayers, studying the Word (Bible) and having spiritual practices that please GOD. Spouses should have unconditional, even sacrificial, love. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 says:
4 Love is long-suffering, it is kind; love is not envious; love does not boast, it is not arrogant,
5 does not behave inappropriately, does not seek his own interests, is not irritated, does not suspect evil;
6 does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices in the truth;
7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Do you want an honorable place to enter? Here it is, the wedding.
Marriage is a very important institution.
It's fundamental and when you think about it like this, this spiritual vision brings us: wonderful benefits: stronger bond between the couple and also the children that will come; promotes healthy communication with each other and as a result comes the success of the family reflected in society.
3. Who designed the wedding? Mark 10:8 says:
8 and the two will become one flesh; so they are no longer two, but one flesh.
The woman is the man's helper Genesis 2:18 says:
18 And the LORD GOD said, It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.
Suitable means that it is suitable, that it has the ability to perform a task, a position. Synonyms for the word suitable: trustworthy, honest, integrity and correct. Unfortunately, we have seen the antonym of suitable: inappropriate, inadequate and incompetent. It's about working with men and women together. The man as the head loving the woman and the woman as the most fragile part, but with wisdom being submissive. All this in a marriage in the standards mentioned here. It is the woman who builds the house, we cannot forget our responsibility.
When a couple truly establishes a marriage, it should be for life.
There will definitely be strength to overcome obstacles in this relationship. Therefore, this marriage will certainly have a positive impact on society, through the dedication that is encouraged between them; healthy communication and success in witnessing to GOD himself only by example.
