Ecclesiastes 7:20 tells us, "Indeed, there is not a righteous man on earth who does good and never sins." Sooner or later these mistakes will lead to our death. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23). What then to do to assure myself of salvation? There is an effective way in which you, friend, will find it, which begins here in this world and continues throughout eternity. I know you've been looking in many ways and even in things like: smoking, alcohol, drugs, even in family, friendships, work, fun and "joys" that this world presents us with. This peace that the friend longs for is only possible through Christ Jesus who died on the cross of Calvary in our place. You already know now the way to that true peace (Philippians 4.7) says: "And the peace that passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus". So you need to recognize that you are truly a sinner who does things that displease God even though you think you are close to Him through good works. You can at that moment say: I don't smoke, I don't drink, I don't steal, I've never killed; but even so, the Living GOD is far from the TENDER FATHER who waits for him with open arms, wanting to offer him the life he so desperately needs. Things you need to do: make the decision right now to abandon your sins, recognizing that you are a sinner and that apart from God there is no salvation for you; to give yourself wholeheartedly to JESUS ​​CHRIST, receiving Him as your Savior and Lord, and thus living next to Him the new life that awaits you; immediately look for an evangelical church where he can feed on the Word of God constantly so that he does not weaken the faith that is now born in his heart. If at this moment you have received Christ as your only Savior, you should tell everyone about the great miracle that took place in the re-creation of your spirit, for you are beginning to feel the peace that you have been looking for so long. Believe me, you are the happiest person in the world.
