Introduction: Follow this study until the end to discover how to live in dependence on God in three simple steps. You will learn to cultivate constant dependence and discover that the last step is the most important. Don't limit yourself to just one part; follow us until the end. How to live in this world? A weakened, exhausted, fatigued world... We are constantly disappointed and cannot depend on it to find peace, love, joy or comfort. In fact, we can expect little good from him. But we can rejoice because we have a Wonderful GOD who keeps His covenant and always fulfills His promises of love and fidelity to those who love Him and keep His commandments. Let's look at these three steps. Follow me until the end. Steps: Step 1: GOD is still in control. GOD never loses control. I Kings 19:9,13 says: 9 And there he entered a cave and spent the night there; and behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and said to him, What are you doing here, Elijah? 13 And it came to pass, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his cloak, and went out, and stood at the entrance of the cave; and behold, a voice came to him, saying, What are you doing here, Elijah? In chapter 18 of the same book, we see Elijah, a determined instrument of GOD for the judgment of Baal and his prophets. But this victory was ephemeral. Jezebel's threats reached him and the prophet hesitated, fleeing to hide in a cave. What was GOD's message to Elijah? "I am still in control! There are still seven thousand knees that have not bowed to Baal." What is your motivation for depending on GOD? Is it for purpose or for worship? We need to live in dependence on HIM constantly. 2nd Step: Dependence on GOD generates humility. James 4:13-17 shows the fallibility of human plans: Say not, Today or tomorrow we will go to that city, and spend a year there, and trade, and make a profit; but rather you say: If the LORD wills, and we live, we will do this or that. We forget that we do not fully control our lives. This text teaches us that life is uncertain! 3rd Step: Depending on GOD is not being a Pharisee. The Pharisee preaches, but he does not live what he preaches. Matthew 23:3: "Therefore whatever things they tell you to observe, observe them and do them; but do not do according to their works, for they say and do not." The Pharisee seeks only appearances; he lacks the truth. He uses religion as a cover for his evil. Apparently clean on the outside, but inside, just rot and corruption. Whitewashed tombs. Do you want to live in dependence on GOD? Connect your existence to the Creator.
